COVID-19: At least 36 procedures at St. Joseph’s London to be postponed

After a staff member tested positive for COVID-19, St. Joseph’s Health Care London reported to Global News that at least 36 procedures have been postponed because of COVID-19. According to a statement from St. Joseph’s hospital, the positive case COVID-19 has touched four operating rooms. At least 25 employees and physicians have been placed in isolation as a result of the exposure.

Because of the high number of professionals self-isolating at home or work, at least 36 of the operating room procedures have been postponed. Hospital staff will notify patients whose treatments have been postponed. Those who have not been contacted directly about a change in their schedule should still come in for their surgery on time, according to the hospital. Read more blogs here.
